TEMECULA VALLEY, CA; (February 7, 2014)—A “World of Wine,” in the heart of Southern California. That’s what guests of Temecula Valley’s World of Wines Barrel Tasting Weekend will discover when this beloved annual event returns for the 23rd year on March 1st and 2nd, 2014.

Winding down winter and giving guests a sneak-peak at new spring releases, World of Wine is a chance for ticket holders to try barrel samples of new wines, enjoy food and wine pairings, and take in Temecula Valley wine country’s stunning scenery. The “World of Wine” theme showcases the abundant variety of wine grapes and styles produced in Temecula Valley, from sparkling to sweet, white to red, and everything in between.

The passport-style event takes place at 35 wineries along Rancho California and DePortola Roads. Accessible via I-15 freeway, Temecula Valley is around an hour’s drive from San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles and Palm Springs, and is easy to self-navigate by car. Shuttle transportation and overnight packages also available at participating wine country hotels.

Contests & Sweepstakes

To promote and celebrate sustainability, participating wineries will have fun competing in the Best Winery Cork Art Contest, where the winning winery will receive a $500 donation to their favorite Southern California charity and the winning voter will be awarded four tickets to the region’s next big passport event.
