Founded in 1983, the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition boasts more than 4,000 entries in their prestigious event.  Meadowcroft Wines, Thomas Henry Wines and Foyt Family Wines, all crafted by Tom Meadowcroft, garnered 12 medals including two Double Gold, for the 2011 Meadowcroft Sonoma County Zinfandel and 2010 Foyt Family Mt. Veeder Napa Valley Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon.

Additional award winners include seven silver medals for NV Port “All She Wrote,” 2011 Meadowcroft Chardonnay, 2012 Meadowcroft Pinot Noir, 2010 Meadowcroft Sangiovese, 2011 Foyt Family Chardonnay, 2011 Foyt Family Meritage and 2011 Thomas Henry Zinfandel.  Three bronze medals were awarded to the 2010 Meadowcroft Mt Veeder Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 2012 Thomas Henry Chardonnay and 2011 Thomas Henry Cabernet Sauvignon.

“What I am particularly happy to see,” expresses Tom Meadowcroft, “is that three of the wines we received accolades for in the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, come from my Meadowcroft Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyard in the Mt. Veeder appellation, in Napa, California. To receive a Double Gold for our Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon two years in a row is an incredible compliment and validation. Mt. Veeder is one of the most intriguing wine growing areas in Napa Valley, and we have been wine growing here for more than 12 years.”
