At Carpe Vino, our roots are in retail wine sales and that continues to be our primary business. But these days, it’s all about the food. We opened our restaurant in April 2006, and this act changed everything.
One of Carpe Vino greatest assets is our space. The main structure housing our wine bar was built in 1855 and for years it was home to the Union Saloon, a true Western bar that quenched the thirst of gold miners, Union soldiers, gamblers, railroad builders and all manner of frontiersmen seeking their fortunes. This place has history and texture and soul that oozes from the original brick walls and Douglas fir ceiling beams.
