In the simplest of terms, Cantiga Wineworks is a small family winemaking operation. A closer look will reveal that it is also a tradition, a method, a science, an art, a philosophy, a community, and a way of life.
The venture, founded by Rich and Christine Rorden with the support of their family and friends, is an outgrowth of a long-time, multi-generation, home winery. It has the benefit of the Rorden family’s many years of experience in making exceptional Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, and other varieties of fine wine. Upholding the same values and methods used to make the family’s private stock, Cantiga Wineworks intends to make this wine of rare quality available to the fine wine enthusiasts of the local, US and, eventually, Canadian markets.
On a stunning knoll top, overlooking estate vineyards and lovingly tended gardens, stands the Gothic edifice of Cantiga Wineworks. The sunny and inviting tasting room, hung with Medieval tapestries, brings visitors back to an earlier age. Our current line-up of classic-style wines are showcased with exquisite food pairings, and guests can learn about our unique winemaking philosphy and style.
