In 1992, after 20 years of friendship and working together in the computer industry, Art (Arthur Alexander) and Earl (Earl Wayne) ventured into the wine business by acquiring a small existing winery. After much effort, including burning through old inventory and creating a new production facility (winery), that winery is now Alexander and Wayne.
Alexander and Wayne is now at the end of its second decade and still producing small lots of premium handcrafted wines, usually between 100 and 300 cases per release. We have always focused on the wine varieties originally native to the Burgundy and Bordeaux regions of France, plus select sweet wines, and have recently added Petite Sirah to the mix.
